My first comic con and it was an awesome experience. I had never thought of Comic-con as a big deal, but I had no idea what I've been missing! I got my hands on exclusive figures for Halo Reach, Demos of upcoming games such as Dead Space 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns and allot more!

Friday was the day to get the stuff you want. Its the day to buy the things you want, because by the time Saturday comes everything you looked at that you thought of buying Will be gone. My first stop was at the Intel booth. There they had all kinds of computer tournaments and sponsored MLG teams where there playing Counter Strike, Starcraft 2, and much more.

Friday is very roomy and not that much cosplay. It was very pleasant and was the best time for me. I manage to see Stan Lee. He was walking in the middle of Comic-Con like he was one of the people visiting. Much as I like video game I came also to see the stuff they had for the anime festival part as well.

First game I had to try out was Dead Space 2. I was very pleased of how well the first Dead Space played except the replayability is 0. The monsters come at you the same way and you know exactly whats going to happen. Hopefully they fixed that problem in the second one. The demo was very good. It made me jumpy, only because you wear these $300 headset and it was loud.Graphics were very nice and smooth. I couldn't believe I died once. The big news about it is that they added multiplayer, but it wasn't in the demo.
Manage to see a first look at Final Fantasy 14 online. Was never much into the online version of Final Fantasy games, but tried it out anyway. After that bought some comics, shirts, and Halo Reach figures. That was pretty much just Friday. Saturday I focused on the Panels. Went to the Capcom Panel to know more about whats to come for Marvel vs Capcom 3. I manage to meet Keiji Inafune who is the head of Research & Development and Online Business and Global Head of Production at Capcom. He is Mostly known for his character design for Mega Man and the Dead Rising games. After that I went to a Panel for Animation and met Crispin Freeman. He is a famous voice actor that is know to be the voice of Alucard from Hellsing and Togusa from Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex.

After those panels I had just enough time to check out Goldeneye 007 and Dragonball Raging Blast 2. Goldeneye was a big let down. the graphics were bad and the gameplay was horrible. Dragonball Raging Blast 2 was very good. They fixed the balance system when it came to characters being overpowered and the gameplay was excellent.

After That I headed for the Capcom booth to try Marvel vs Capcom 3 and it is amazing. The graphics are just as good if not better than the Super Street Fighter 4 Graphics and The characters so far are awesome. I played as Dante, Iron man, and Wolverine, but got demolished by the opponent for they have been playing since the beginning of this weekend and they have a feel to the controls already. The only complaint I have is the controls for the arcade stick (I only play fighting games with the arcade stick) instead of 4 buttons its 6 and they changed them around so I had no idea what I was doing.
After that well... That pretty much sums it up. I probably had one of the best times of my life there and will go again next year without a doubt. For 2010 the next event video game related that I will attend is Video Games Live in December and next year I'm taking on E3! If you want to see more people in costumes go to my Facebook page. I made it so everyone can see them.

I am SO glad you wrote about Comic Con. I heard it was Jammed on Saturday. I enjoyed reading your quick overview of some of the new games and I can't believe you said "Back in my day" either. Your pictures in the blog and on facebook were a great addition. You really have to see the characters and the people in Cosplay. Some of them were amazing. Grat job!
