Top 5 Wii games

After this top 5 I will only do 2 more the X-box 360 top 5 and the PS3 top 5.

5. Super Paper Mario
I was always a fan of the Paper Mario series from the first one. This is like an rpg element where you gain experience by killing things and level up gaining more health and power. This time they use the advantage of the Wii to help make the gameplay better. Its not only a side scrolling game, but now you can go 3 dimensional in the levels. The story line is a bit boring but it has its moments. I love the fact you can use not only Mario, but Bowser, peach, and Luigi. This game is great for anyone to pick up from old to new fans.  This game just makes it in my top 5.

4. Metriod Prime 3 Corruption
This game in my opinion is the best one of the trilogy. Using the advantage of the Wii, this game you can point and shoot the enemies. I was amazed at how well the control scheme worked well for this game. I managed to master the controls pretty quick. All the puzzles and other actions mostly had you using the motion controls allot, which was a good thing.
The one great thing they fixed was the fact that you don't get lost in the game. Everything seems understandable the first time you look at things. For example: in the first Metroid Prime game their was a ? on a part of the map and I must have been their so many times, but nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary ( the location of this place was like a small cylinder so it was hard to accurately tell where the ? was leveled at) It turned  out there was something that you had to shoot that brings out a hidden hook that you can swing on to get higher up. How was I supposed to figure that out? This game, however fixed that with more accurate readings on the map and little icons that tell you to do a specific task.
Her power ups are just as unique as the other games and the bosses are awesome to play though. You end up destroying the home world of the Metroid to final put an end to the trilogy and it is an epic boss battle. This game is well deserved to be in my top 5.

3. Super Smash Bro. Brawl
One of the reasons why I got the Wii in the first place. This game both improves, but somehow doesn't live up to the way the previous game did.  Don't get me wrong I would rate this game better than the previous version in the franchise, but sadly i have only 1 complaint. The fighting and the competitiveness of this game was dumbed down. they made it so new people can beat experienced people like its nothing which is sad.
Anyway on to the good aspects of the game. All the modes are back from the previous game and a few more. There is actually a story line to this game, but no one talks in this game. It even has boss battles in this story line. The new thing around this game is the smash ball. if you hit it and get its power you can use the characters's ultimate attack. It brings a new twist in the game. You can save replays of games you've played.  Allot of characters to play as and a special treat you can unlock Sonic and Solid Snake as characters, who are not from Nintendo. This game is a great time with friends.

2. Super Mario Galaxy
This game comes close to being as good as Mario 64. This is a great new kind of platforming game that takes place in space. Its the same plot though bowser captures Peach and Mario has to save her and defeat Bowser. They use the motion controller for some things, but mostly your going to flick it just to use his spinning attack most of the time. The levels are visually stunning and great and creative. Some are really challenging and the powers are cool and some are funny. Overall this game is a reminder of why I love the Mario franchise.

1. Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess
The most anticipated game for the Wii for me. This game was right up there, if not even better than the Ocarina of Time. This is my favorite game to play when it comes to the Wii. The Story line is great. The gameplay for the Wii with the motion controls was excellent. The visual effects and graphics where great (for a Wii console)
This is a very long game so you might want to have allot of free time if you want to beat it (took me a week to beat only cause I was home sick and I had nothing else to do) If I remember its about 20 hours of gameplay. He gets his usual weapons and some new stuff that I've never would have thought to use in a game like this. The fight with Ganondorf is as epic as it could ever get and you can fight on horseback which was a big deal for this game. This horseback battle scene is one of the most epic scenes in the Legend of Zelda Franchise  Overall this game is Epic and a keeper and deserves my number 1 spot.

Top 5 PlayStation 2 Games

This week I'll talk about my favorite PS2 games I grew up with.

5. Tekken 4
Tekken was the fighting franchise that a grew up with for the Sony consoles. Its a very good fighting game that has a character that is one of my favorites in 2 games (Yoshimitsu, also in Soul Caliber series.) With a big variety of fighters and styles there isn't a fighter you won't like.  This game is the best fighting game for the PS2 and deserves my number 5 spot.

4. Metal Gear Solid 3
This game is bad-ass. I can't explain the plot because I would end up stewing it up (doing these by memory no sources) Some bosses tried to screw with your mind while others tried to blast you sky high the game feels more like a movie, but I can never get it right. I always end up confusing myself in the plot so I rate it by gameplay and what not. Its a survival stealth operation as snake has to take out um... (see I dont remember his name >_< Its been a while) All I can say is the story is great, if you can follow it, the music is awesome, the gameplay is fantastic. Well deserving of my number 4 spot

3. God of War
This game is amazing when it comes down to everything. The visual, fighting, controls, and character development is awesome and its just so fun to finish monsters in a action sequence. The game has one of the best boss battles (right beside Resident evil 4 in that category) and very gory and based on true Greek mythology, and stories. A well developed and unique game at the time and  gets a spot at number 3.

2. Kingdom Hearts
To think that a Disney game would actually be one of my favorite games of all time. Thats what happens when they let SquareSoft takes control of the world of Disney or should I say worlds.  This game starts out with the three main characters, Sora, Riku, and Kiari, building a sailboat to go find another world.  Then one night dark creatures invade the Island they where making the boat. Sora goes out to check on it to find the Dark figures going after him and Riku. Riku, not being afraid of the dark, embraced it and was taken by the darkness. Sora, as he is about to be engulfed by darkness as well, tries to fight it off then gets a weapon called a keyblade. With the Keyblade he was able to fend of the darkness near him but it was too late for his world and got sucked into darkness.
He then wakes up in another world and meets Donald and Goofy. They team up going to one world to another to find Sora's friends Riku and Kiari. (all the worlds are worlds of Disney characters ex. Aladdin = Agraba  and Peter Pan = Never Land.)  There are allot of plot twist and the story is touching till the very end and is worth the number 2 spot.

1. Shadow of the Colossus
This game.... This game is the best game on the PS2 period.  Such a unique element in gaming history and gameplay that has not been done before. I hope they never make a sequel (it will make it more special that way)
This game is about this boy (or guy really can't tell he looks, I would say 19-21 age) takes his dead wife or his love to an temple way out in the country no where near the  city they where living at.  The voice of the temple tells him her love can come back to life, but he must kill 16 Colossi to do it. Let me tell you that this is no easy task the first time I fought a Colossus I had no idea what to do. It was an overwhelming feeling that this humongous creature is going to destroy you if you don't act fast.
You have to some how climb on it and find its weak points to kill it. The ending has you in an emotional state because of the plot twist (don't want to spoil it) It does have a learning curve from the 1st colossus being the easiest one and the last one being impossible. This game overall deserves my number 1 spot.

Top 5 Gamecube Games

Ah Gamcube, a fun time with all sorts of games to choose from. This is probably my biggest library of games I have for 1 system, so this isn't going to be easy.

5. Pikmin
A unique gameplay that I love and has such an addicting trait to it with the power to control an army of 3 different kind of creatures called Pikmin.  Each type having a trait to be unaffected by elements, like Red Pikmin can withstand fire, blue Pikmin can swim, yellow Pikmin can withstand electricity.
You play as a small guy from space trying to collect treasures from the planet. Taking on things 10 times the size of you and the Pikmin is so fun with having an army at your disposal. Levels are time limited and are very challenging.

4. SSX Tricky
I know there are plenty of other games that deserve this spot just as much as this game, but hear me out on this. A snowboarding game sounds crazy to put in a top 5, but this game is the best snowboarding game period. This game has all kinds of characters to choose from from a break-dancer stereo type to a psychotic person (who I use and has the coolest tricks).
So this games has all sorts of modes. The main mode is racing and trick points levels to unlock new maps and characters and boards for your character. The more you play the more experience your character you've selected gets. You level up and could add more stats to your character which equals to being faster, higher jumpers, much longer hang-time, and a lot more tricks at once.
You have a meter on the right, which gives you boost the more tricks the higher you meter gets filled. When it gets to the top you go into tricky mode which is the ability to do you signature moves for that character. Doing that gives you a letter at the top of the meter and if you do enough signature tricks you get the word tricky. When that happens it means unlimited boost for the rest of the race. The maps are huge and there is always an alternate rout every section of the map. This game is so addicting and is one of those games I must play if I play any Gamecube game again. Not to mention watching the intro of this game always wanted me to play it again.

3. Metroid Prime
This was one of the best first person adventures. The game starts of with you having all your upgrades investigating a pirate ship until you verse a monster at the end cause you to lose all your upgrades (I bring this up because this happens in every Metroid Prime game. D:<   I mean really who would tease you with having cool weapons and upgrades and then you lose it all and have to reclaim them as you go though the game.)
The game takes you to an unknown planet with hostile monsters and enemy space pirates. You explore all parts of the world getting back your upgrades and weapons and solving lots of puzzles. With one of the best boss battles of all time, this is no doubt in my top 5.

2. Super Smash Bro. Melee
This game is a personal favorite because I would actually compete in tournaments for this game. Its a side scrolling fighting game with allot of Nintendo characters to choose from. I competed with Fox in every game. There are 3 campaign modes Adventure, Classic, and All-Star. All are which are fun to play, but the real reason for playing is to play with your friends and to beat them till they get annoyed at you for being so good.
You play with lives or buy a timer. With lives the last man standing wins and with the timer whoever has the most kills wins. You would most likely play with lives. The more damage you take the easier you will go flying across the map by a heavy attack. This game is very fun and addicting for everyone. Its to bad though that Super Smash Bro. Brawl dumb down the gameplay and lessened the competitiveness big time.

1. Resident Evil 4
This is one of the best game period (I keep saying this I need to make a top 5 games of all time). This game is awesome and non stop action. You can't even relax in the cut-scenes because you have to react to the cut-scene and press a certain combination of buttons or you die. First time it happened I was like wdjqwdfWHAT IS THIS I DON'T EVEN! This is also one of the scariest and hardest games I've played. The first part of the game you have to survive a village of zombies with a pistol and a few shotgun shells and the strong one has a chainsaw. This game has the best boss battles of all time. The unlockables for this game are cool you can get alternate costumes too.
The plot is you are Leon S. Kennedy on a mission to rescue the president's daughter Ashley. Then you discover that the towns people are not normal and are zombies being controlled by a parasite. The one controlling the parasites is the one who took Ashley in the first place. You then find out both Leon and Ashley are infected by the parasite and have only a limited amount of time to get the cure and escape the grasps of the enemy.
Overall this game is my best Gamecube game and deserves my most recommended title to try if you have to play a Gamecube game ever again and Deserves the number 1 spot.

Top 5 Nintendo 64 Games

I have such a big library of games for the Nintendo 64 so this is going to be tough putting this into a top 5 list. Some of my decisions may surprise you in choosing some games over others, but I believe I have a valid explanation for all of my decisions. (Note that once again these are my favorites in my opinion only.)

5. Starfox 64
Ah Starfox if only you where as good as your old games you fanbase wouldn't have diminished as much. This is where the Starfox franchise got know as one of the Nintendo character icon. And who can for get that great internet meme from Peppy who saids"Do a Barrel Role!"  This game is great shooting game. You play as Fox Mcloud's son James Mcloud and take on the evil empire of Androsa who is trying to take over the lylat system. The story tells you of one of Starfox's members betraying James' father and Andross killing Fox Mcloud. This is a 3rd or 1st person shooter where you control fox's Arwing and move forward in most levels destroying enemy fighter on your way until you get to the boss. In which case it goes into a 3 dimensional controls and you can fly anywhere.
Your teammates are Falco, Slippy, and Peppy. they help you with the boss battles and levels, but if you dont help them when enemy's are attacking them they lose all their life and have to go back to the main ship (Great Fox) and repair and will not be with you for the next mission. Their are different routes you can take for each level and doing something specific in the level will lead you to an alternative level instead of the usual one.
Independence Day left Starfox 64 right
I want to point out one level of the game it reminds me of the movie independence day their is this military base you have to protect and a giant flying saucer is going to destroy it (video of the level).  If you play the right levels of the game you can get the real ending to the game not the cheap ending which is easy.
The real ending is after you defeat the giant mechanical head of Andross it explodes into a brain with eyes and then he saids something really funny " only I have the brains to rule Lylat." This boss is the hardest thing in the game. Also glad it is because he is the last boss after you defeat him Andross tries to take you with him. It goes to a white screen then your father saids "don't ever give up my son" He guides you out of Andross exploding base then he disappears when you escape. This game had good voice acting when it came to games back then. This game was awesome and deserves number 5 in my countdown.

4. Diddy Kong Racing
This game is so addicting it is one of the first games I think of playing when my friend wants to play Nintendo 64 again. This game is so competitive in racing that to be honest blows Mario Kart 64 out of the water! Diddy Kong Racing is all the company of Rare characters from Banjo Kazooie to Conker. (who I must question as to why have him in this kids game if he was a Mature title?)
Story goes like this: Timber the Tiger's parents go on vacation and leave their son in charge of the island they live on, leaving him and his friends to race for fun. Their enjoyment is derailed when an evil Wizpig arrives at peaceful Timber's Island and attempts to take over after he conquered his own planet's racetracks. He turns the four island's guardians: Tricky the Triceratops, Bubbler the Octopus, Bluey the Walrus and Smokey the Dragon into his henchmen. The only solution available to the island's inhabitants is to defeat Wizpig in an elaborate series of races that involves cars, hovercrafts, and airplanes.
If you knew the cheat codes you can have 2 player co-op in story mode! (Cheat: joint adventure. I still know it If a friend ever wants to play again) It also has 4 player split screen for racing and their are unique game too like shoot your fiends down in like an arena map and much more. I think that this part of the game worked better than Mario Kart 64 because it was 3 strikes your out, but in Diddy Kong racing as long as you had 1 banana (and theirs bananas all around the map) You would not die making it more competitive and longer game.  This game is a great game to play for anyone and deserves to be in my top 5.

3. GoldenEye 007
This game was my first First-person shooter and was amazing. I was already a James Bond fan before the games so this gets extra brownie points. I don't know about other people, but the first time when I played this game I would just go around killing everyone ignoring missions then when everyone seems dead I would actually pay attention to the missions.
This game was especially fun if you had cheat codes to carry every weapon in the game. From throwing knives to grenade launchers to actually having a tank as a weapon this game was nothing but action shooting game. The multi-player aspect is just as fun when you have 4 friends trying to kill you though a wall with a laser gun. This game deserves to be at number 3 for me.

2 Mario 64
How can I not put Mario in my top 5 spot for Nintendo 64 games. This was in my opinion the best Mario game of all time as well. The first Mario game to go from 2d into 3d and it succeeded big time. The story is princes Peach is trapped in a painting and you have to collect star powers in the paintings of Peach's castle to be powerful enough to defeat Bowser who put Peach in the painting in the first place and took the star power for his own.
The most memorial stage in the game is the first one you go into the Bob-omb world and the stage before you go through to get to bowser(which has awesome music that goes with that stage). The learning curve in this game is good goes from easy stars to get to really difficult and leaves you thinking on how to get the lasts stars of each stage. Not to mention you have to collect 100 coins in each stage to get another star. If you mange to get all the stars you can go to the top of the castle from the outside and you see Yoshi who gives you 100 lives.
This game is at only 2 which you might as well guessed already what number 1 is.

1. Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
This game is my favorite for the Nintendo 64. It took me so long to beat. after years of trying as a little kid I went back to it around 14- 15 years old to finally beat this game. I'm so glad I did this game was the funnest game to play out of all the Legend of Zelda games. It had a great plot, great control, great combat controls as well, and great graphics of its time. The boss battles were all memorable and hard as hell. Ah the frustration I had with Ganondorf. The items and power ups were so cool. It had so much gameplay and it was such a long game. If only more games could be just as long. This deserves my Number 1 spot.

Next week I'll do top 5 Gamecube games.!

Top 5 Games For Each System

I've decided to tell you what my Top 5 favorites games for each systems are. I've own every game system after the SNES on and would like to talk about all of them, but not enough time to talk about every single one. If I just mention them though, well thats good enough for me. (Note: these are top 5 games I own and played If there are games better than what I put that means I didn't play it. These are all in my opinion. Edit: Due to how much I can talk about just 1 game I will Split this to more than 1 blog.)
SNES
SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)
5. Donkey Kong County 3
This game was the weakest of the trilogy of the Donkey Kong Country games, but it was just as fun to play as any other. You play as Dixie Kong and her toddler cousin Kiddy Kong. They discovered that Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong were captured by robot KAOS, but discover that it was under control by Kaptain K. Rool's brother Baron K. Roolenstein. The game was a little easier than the other 2 games, but has astonishing background views of the levels from the high mountains to the mechanical factory theme. Thats why its going to be number five.

4. Super Pang/Buster Bros.
Super Pang is a single- screen shooting game and the goal is to pop all the bubbles. When you shoot a bubble it splits into multiple smaller versions of that bubble. This game's learning curve goes from easy to just plain impossible, but I beat it regardless due to hours of frustration and just wanting to beat it out of satisfaction. It is very addicting and every level takes you to famous monuments of Asia, Europe, and America. Each level has 3 stages before you move on to another location. From time to time I will still play this game if I get an urge to play a classic game again.

3. Donkey Kong Country
My first game I ever had at the age of  3. This is one of my personal favorite for any game. If any of my friends gets that urge to play an old game again we think of only one game and that is Donkey Kong Country. Its side scrolling action is so fun and one of the best levels is going at high speeds on a mine cart dodging other Crocks in carts coming at you. The story is Donkey Kong's banana horde has been stolen by King K. Rool and his Kremlings. Its up to Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong to get their banana horde back. in each area of the Kong Island there are a bunch of levels leading to the boss level of that area. The bosses go from very easy to hard. The levels are the most memorable out of the trilogy as well as the music. I listen to the music in the water on my ipod as well as the theme and other levels like fear factory. This game sold over 8 million copies worldwide, making it the best-selling non-bundled SNES game of all time. This game was one of the first games for mainstream home video game console to use  pre-rendered 3D graphics. Surprisingly enough this is only my 3rd best for this countdown.
2. Starfox-SNES
Allot of my fiends where Starfox fans when they first known about him in Starfox 64. They always wanted to know about the past story with Fox James Mcloud's father. Well I was a fan of the original first game Starfox which is about his father Fox Mcloud. I find this game very addicting even though it had bad 3D graphics. Back then however it was like nothing I've ever seen. Its the same game as Starfox 64, but I find Starfox-SNES allot harder and better memorable music in the levels surprisingly enough. I can't tell you how many remixes I've heard for the level Cornaria. Not to mention In Super Smash Bro. Brawl they made a stage for Fox that in the background is the level (original) Space armada  in the original Starfox game along with a remastered song in honor of the franchise (remake)

1. Donkey Kong Country 2
I was really struggling on who would take the number 1 spot, but im pretty satisfied with my decision. So why the sequel as number 1 instead of the first game? Well the second game improved every aspect of the first game. The game opens with Diddy Kong standing on the deck of a pirate ship. In the ship's cabin, he finds a note stating that Donkey Kong has been kidnapped by Kaptain K. Rool, a pirate Kremling, who had demanded the entire Banana Hoard that he stole in the previous game for a ransom from the Kongs. Diddy Kong subsequently attempts to rescue Donkey Kong from the Kaptain, and accompanying him is his girlfriend, Dixie Kong. Together, they travel through Crocodile Isle and go through areas which leads to bosses like in the first game. The music Is just as memorable as the first one. They added more gameplay and secret levels compared to the first game and there is a fake ending and a real ending. This one by far is the best and the hardest in the franchise.

Next blog I will give my top 5 Nintendo 64 games.
